Belarus Opens e-Visa Access to Indian Passport Holders

On September 14, 2026, Belarus approved the inclusion of India in its e-visa system. For Indian passport holders that replaces an embassy process with an online application, which is a meaningful simplification for a destination that has never been easy to arrange from India.
The catch is that the operational detail is missing. As of our last check, Belarus had not published the fee, the permitted stay duration or the visa validity period. We have deliberately left those fields blank in our Visa Checker rather than estimating them, and flagged the entry as pending official confirmation.
What is confirmed and what is not
- Confirmed: Indian passport holders are approved for the Belarus e-visa system, decided September 14, 2026.
- Not published: fee, stay length, validity window, and the exact document checklist.
- Where it will appear: the official Belarus e-visa portal and the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Apply only once those details are live there.
You can see our live status for Belarus in the Visa Checker — it carries a pending badge rather than a verified date, and we re-check it every two to three weeks.

Watch out for agents
Whenever a country opens an e-visa channel, a wave of lookalike sites appears charging a service fee for a government form. Since the official fee is not even published yet, there is currently no way to know whether an agent quote is reasonable. Use the government portal, and ignore anything that appears in a sponsored search result.
Is Belarus worth planning for?
Minsk is an inexpensive, walkable city with a distinctive post-war architectural core, and the wider country has genuinely good national parks. Getting there from India means a connection — usually via the Gulf, Turkey or a Central Asian hub — and fares vary a lot by routing, so we compare them on Skytrippa before locking dates. Also check the transit visa rules of whichever hub you route through; that is the step people forget.
When you are ready to apply
Most e-visa applications ask for a confirmed itinerary and accommodation. If you need the flight side of that without buying a ticket you might have to change, Reserve your visa flight reservation here and you will have the PDF in a couple of minutes.
If you spot the official fee and stay duration before we do, send it over on Instagram or to contactskytrippa@gmail.com — we will verify and update the entry the same week. Skytrippa would rather show a blank field than a guess.
