14 days in Thailand for ₹70,000 (~$800 / ฿29,000) per person, everything included — flights, stay, food, local travel, activities. Bcoz that's the question I keep getting whenever someone finds out we did this trip. So let me actually break it down instead of just saying "it was cheap."

Flights: ₹22,000 (~$255 / ฿9,300) per person, round trip

This one surprised us the most. We flew Nagpur → Bangalore → Bangkok, then the same route back. Everyone told us not to book in December — "prices spike," "worst month," all of that. We booked anyway. Original price was showing ₹32,000, but we found a discount that knocked off almost ₹10,000, bringing it down to ₹22,000. So the December-is-expensive thing? Didn't hold up for us. Bcoz timing and actually comparing prices across platforms mattered way more than which month it was.

Stay: ₹2,000 (~$23 / ฿830) per night, for two, Airbnb

We stayed in an Airbnb the whole trip — ₹2,000 a night for both of us, and this place had an infinity pool, gym access, lounge, the works. Genuinely felt like a resort, not a budget stay.

Hotels (on the nights we switched): ₹1,000 (~$12 / ฿415) per night, for two, breakfast included

On a few nights we stayed in an actual hotel instead — still just ₹1,000 for the both of us, breakfast included. What stood out was how diverse the crowd was — we met people from so many different countries staying there. To be clear, this was a proper hotel, not a hostel.

Food: ₹1,000 (~$12 / ฿415) per day, for two

This covered actual meals, not just snacking — Thai street food is both incredible and genuinely cheap if you're not eating at tourist-trap restaurants near the main attractions.

Local transport: ₹500-600 (~$6-7 / ฿210-250) per day

We used Grab (Thailand's version of Uber) the entire trip, private taxis each time. On the day we went to Ayutthaya (the ancient city), it went up to about ₹1,000 because of the distance — still nothing compared to booking an organized tour.

The one expensive thing: Grand Palace entry

Honestly, the Grand Palace ticket is the one line item that stood out as pricier than everything else — ฿500 per person (roughly ₹1,030 / $14.50), so about ₹2,000 for the two of us just to get in. Worth it for what it is, but don't expect it to be a cheap stop.
